Where to begin...let me show you what I have been doing over the last few years.  The works I have included in this blog range from still life and landscape works in oil and photography.    Life at 53 is really interesting.  Knowing that I have now passed half a century of life on this planet made me look at what I have yet to accomplished - things that I have put off to do other, more practical things that bring in the dough - as the saying goes.

So here I am on this new blog, aptly titled "A fresh, new start".  I came up with this because of my rediscovery of the joy of being creative through painting and photography - two very strong urges that have always been with me for more than decades.  Now, I have given them complete freedom to express my creative impulses, unhampered by the day-to-day worries of life.  In fact, I used to feel guilty when I would steal time to paint or photograph landscapes.  Not anymore.  This is what my soul desires and I must do it freely without guilt.

I have been fortunate in my career as a wine importer to have had many opportunities to travel around the world, visiting beautiful places, wine regions, and savouring the local bounty of fine cuisine, art, music and wine.  Such travels never failed to stimulate my creative urges to capture the essence of the place and its culture through my paintings and photography as shown on this blog.
